Michelfelder’s top prioritiy is the comprehensive and continuous quality control of production processes. Therefore we run an in-house QA laboratory including all necessary measuring equipment for extensive testing and documentation methods. For example, to secure process stability the welding depth of welded seams is surveyed microscopically. Only if our customers’ quality specifications are fulfilled sustainably, series production is released. Furthermore, during batch runs random inspections are carried out to constantly optimise product quality.

Quality tests include:

• Dimensional measurement using a height gauge
• Microscopical microsection analysis including computer-aided evaluation and documentation
• High grinding of test pieces with different grinding papers and polishing cloth
